Skulls 5

5-skull reviews probably contain:

  • amazing main characters,
  • beautiful world building,
  • useful side characters,
  • lovely, endearing writing,
  • well crafted relationships and
  • ALL THE FEELS.

THE GIST: These are amazing reads that everyone should read! These are our ultimate favorites.

Skulls 4.5

4.5-skull reviews probably contain:

  • really good main characters,
  • beautiful world building,
  • useful side characters,
  • lovely writing,
  • well crafted relationships,
  • a lot of feels and
  • some teeny tiny detail that was off.

THE GIST: These are really, really good books that we recommend trying.

Skulls 4

4-skull reviews probably contain:

  • nice main characters,
  • interesting world building,
  • useful side characters,
  • lovely writing,
  • lovely relationships,
  • a lot of feels and
  • some very minor problems.

THE GIST: These were good books that we think a lot of people will enjoy.

Skulls 3.5

3.5-skull reviews probably contain:

  • enjoyable main characters,
  • interesting world building,
  • okay side characters,
  • lovely writing,
  • cute relationships,
  • feels and
  • some things that could’ve used more work.

THE GIST: We might only recommend this to some readers, but we enjoyed it for the most part!

Skulls 3

3-skull reviews probably contain:

  • relatable main characters,
  • okay world building,
  • okay side characters,
  • easy-to-understand writing,
  • cute relationships,
  • feels and
  • a lot of things that felt weird.

THE GIST: These were probably cute/enjoyable reads that we thought still had a ton of flaws.

Skulls 2.5

2.5-skull reviews probably contain:

  • okay main characters,
  • okay world building,
  • side characters who made us feel indifferent,
  • easy-to-understand writing,
  • possibly no feels and
  • a lot of things that were kind of bland.

THE GIST: We feel that some readers might enjoy this, but sadly, it wasn’t all that lovable to us.

Skulls 2

2-skull reviews probably contain:

  • boring main characters,
  • okay world building,
  • boring side characters,
  • okay writing,
  • no feels and
  • a load of problems.

THE GIST: We were probably bored throughout the whole book, but we miiiight still recommend it to a few.

Skulls 1.5

1.5-skull reviews probably contain:

  • a main character that got on our nerves,
  • okay world building,
  • a cliche plot,
  • lame side characters,
  • writing that easily makes us want to take a nap,
  • no feels at all (aside from, say, irritation) and
  • a beanbag full of problems.

THE GIST: That was either boring or crappy. We no likey.

Skulls 1

1-skull reviews probably contain:

  • the most irritable main character on the face of the earth,
  • boring world building,
  • cliche or boring plot,
  • “please just kill them” side characters,
  • ZZzzz writing,
  • the feels of irritation,
  • EYE ROLLING EVERYWHERE and
  • our eyes probably came off their sockets with all the eye rolling.

THE GIST: Every page probably brought about a new problem.

Skulls DNF

did not finish (DNF) reviews probably contain:

  • ALL THE PROBLEMS.

THE GIST: Nope, couldn’t finish it! Our eyes are burning just STAHP.
