Zoe here!

This week has been a bit exhausting, as it has mainly consisted of school and work, work, and more work.

Besides that, it’s been a relatively quiet and uneventful few weeks. Nothing especially eventful has happened, but I’m hoping that October will bring about something new and exciting.

  1. I was going to read The Dead House this month, but I think I’ll save it for October to read in Lieu of Halloween! I love how the format is similar to Illuminae’s (which I absolutely adored) so hopefully I have the same experience with TDH!

  2. OMG ZOE. OUR BOOKISH TWINNING FAILED SPECTACULARLY THEN. D: The Accident Season is one of my favourite books of the year. XDXD *wails* Ah but at least we were spot on with Minnow Bly, right!?!

  3. I have to agree September has been pretty dull for me too. I studying for a huge test and applying to graduate school. None of those things are fun. I do think that October will be better. A lot of amazing new books will be out by then, I can start wearing fall clothing, halloween candy and there will be PUMPKIN EVERYWHERE! Yep, I’m really looking forward to October.

  4. I want to read the Minnow Bly book! I have the first 17 chapters of The Dead House, to read. I loved Cait’s GR post, and Aentee’s adult book rec post, too. I will be back to scope out The Suffering and The Accident Season reviews. :)

  5. Ooh I hope you enjoy The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly – it was definitely a standout book for me this year being so creepy, but also really captivating too. I’m curious about All We Have is Now – it sounds really similar to We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach which is also about an asteroid coming towards earth and having limited time. Hope you enjoy your new reads Zoe :)

  6. I think I read a book by jessica warman *googles* Oh yeah, Breathless. It was beautiful and depressing and weird and honest. Maybe I should check this out! My september was also filled with work.
