Book haul

Today’s Weekly Recap is all about Aimee!Life

Again, nothing happened this week. Are you seeing a pattern here? But I did get my tooth extraction over with, which is fabulous. My cheek is still semi-puffy though.

Also, I am sad that I couldn’t be at BEA this year. My haul is definitely not as wild as hauls from BEA goers will be, but I’m happy with this week’s purchases. Yes, that’s why this is just a “regular book haul” in my title.

Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan | Tracked by Jenny Martin

Y’all, Daughter of Deep Silence looks amazing. And early reviews have been amazing, too! Tracked also looks amazing, plus the premise is new to me–and Jenny Martin is such a sweetheart!

  1. I’ve heard GREAT things about Daughter of Deep Silence. I personally wasn’t a fan of the author’s previous series, BUT this one looks pretty epic. Ahhhhhh, I’m sure you’re relieved your tooth extraction is over. Hope your cheek feels better soon! xx

    1. Me too! I haven’t read The Forest of Hands and Teeth yet, so I’m going into this one blind. :)
I hope so too! It’s not painful or anything, but I look kinda funky.

  2. Nothing really happened with me this week either, Aimee. I had a little book haul as well, but was still very pleased with it!

  3. I am looking forward to reading Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan. But I have to tackle a lot from TBR so I have to wait for your review and see if its really worth reading. Ouch, tooth extraction, hope it heals soonish. (Oooh~ and semi-puffy face Aimee!) <3

  5. Sometimes it’s nice to have a quiet week or two – I personally prefer it. I keep hearing good things about Daughter of Deep Silence so I can’t wait to hear what you think. This Raging Light looks so good (still waiting to see if I get approved on it). Glad all the tooth stuff is over and went well!

    1. Me too! Although school’s coming up, so it won’t be quiet for long. :(
Everyone has been loving Daughter of Deep Silence, so I hope I do too. :) Good luck with This Raging Light! <3

  6. Ow tooth extraction! I had to pull out like a few teeth as well for my orthodontia so I understand the pain all too well. The worst part isn’t even the actual pulling although that is horrible. It’s the needle poking your cheek. OW. Anyway have a good week Aimee!

  7. Hahahah, regular book haul. That’s how most of my weeks are! I want to go to BEA so badly too! Maybe next year in Chicago! It’s okay not to be exciting, I think. But BEA is definitely a bucket list thing. :) I hope you have a wonderful week!

  9. I’m really curious about Daughter of Deep Silence – I keep hearing good things too. BEA was a lot of fun; I’m sorry you weren’t able to go. I wasn’t there as much as I would have liked, but it was still a blast and I’ll have to share what I got when they come in the mail. I only traveled with a couple. haha

  13. Ow. Tooth extraction? I hate those, so painful and like the least fun I’ve ever had. Hope you’re feeling better! =) This Raging Light looks very interesting, hope you enjoy the new books!

My week was about the same as yours, very normal and boring, but I did spend the weekend dyeing my hair, so that was fun! I somehow missed the big books post so I must go back and read it. Hope you have an awesome week! =)

Oh, what color did you dye it? I’ve been wanting to dye mine brown for ages but never got around to actually doing it..
